A taste of Handle Bar goodness in the heart of East Oxford, Handle Bar 39 serves our award winning breakfasts, brunches and lunches, lovingly made with ethically sourced, local ingredients. Get your East Oxford coffee fix in the day, and for dinner, HB 39 transforms into a crêperie, serving sweet and savoury galettes made with the best locally wheat and gluten free flours.
Although Francesa’s only been a barista at HB for a few months now, it’s not the first time she’s worked within the walls of 28-32 St Michael Street. Happy International Women’s day to all you strong independent women out there! We salute you! We are so grateful to everyone who made the first ever farm to table supper club at Handle Bar 39 a great success! The night was a celebration of one of the happy cows raised on Ben and Katie’s farm, Turley Farm, in Wheatley.
This Friday, DJ collective Cover3, also known as Oli and Chris, will be returning to Le Bar to play their unique blend of house and disco for their regular night, ‘Cocktail Sessions’.
It’s no secret that the Handle Bar has been the location for many an epic party, but lesser known is just how flexible and adaptable the space can be.

For this month’s Supplier Spotlight, we were invited to The Missing Bean Coffee Roastery to chat to co-owner Ori about bringing artisan coffee to Oxford.
We are forever being asked to share our secret pancake recipe and because we love you, we thought we’d stick in on the Handle Blog so you can enjoy some HB breakfast goodness from the comfort of your own home.
